K9 Firearms & Gunfire Neutralization Training

ICRWDA and PPG K9 Unit instructors are hosting an introductory K9 Firearms & Gunfire Neutralization training event for Law Enforcement and Armed Security K9 handlers.
This training is designed for handlers who may operate around firearms, armed security posts, patrol environments, casino properties, special events, or other public-facing security operations where working dogs may be exposed to gunfire, armed response, or high-stress environments.
Training will include an introduction to armed K9 handler firearms drills, safe gunfire exposure, gunfire neutralization concepts, handler movement, K9 control, and bomb dog considerations during armed security operations.
This event is open to all Law Enforcement and Armed Security K9 handlers, including handlers working explosives detection K9s, narcotics detection K9s, single-purpose detection dogs, dual-purpose apprehension dogs, and other working dogs.
Handlers may drop in anytime during the listed training hours and are not required to stay for the full 0845-1130 time slot. Handlers may attend with or without their K9 partners. K9 hearing protection will be available.
Training will be led by ICRWDA instructors and PILB Certified Firearms Instructors.
